DescriptionWe are looking for an intern to dedicate time in-person to help heymama grow. Our time requirement is flexible but at a minimum, 10 hours per week, with ideally somewhere around 20.
heymama is a curated community of creative, talented and entrepreneurial mamas from around the globe. Our mission is to bring this global community of women together to collaborate and build beautiful things for ourselves, each other, and the rest of the world. We aim to inspire and enable these awesome mamas to be successful in their endeavors.
Since our soft launch on Instagram in early January, we've grown to thousands of followers and members. We launched our site in May and feature contributor pieces from entrepreneurs and influencers around the world. We’ve hosted events in New York and LA and are currently planning many events for the Fall.
As we continue to develop, we are looking for someone to contribute to all areas of the project, but concentrating on the areas outlined below. We do have successful social strategy in place, but need help with the day-to-day execution and other areas of the company including marketing, fashion, events, technology and PR. We are a start-up and looking for someone who wants to learn to build a business from the ground up.
+ Execution of our social media strategy
+ Engagement with our followers, commenting and discovering new members for us to contact
+ Curating the coolest brands and moms for us to feature and adding that to a shared document
+ Pinterest- regularly pinning and discovering new content for our boards
+ Facebook – reposting our features and any news we have
+ Twitter – tweeting our features and any articles about us
+ Using templates we have or helping customize your own to email influencers, brands and supporters to set up meetings
+ Helping put together newsletters every two weeks to all heymama subscribers with final editorial approval by us
+ Assisting in overall planning of heymama events
+ Organization, details and execution to help us with each event
+ Coordination of logistics
+ Help brainstorm creative concepts and partners for the event
+ Assisting in day-to-day scheduling of meetings and calls
+ Updating website
+ Uploading member profiles and features
+ Find any errors or opportunities for improvement
+ Help setting up and packing up for photo shoots
+ Involved in the creative process behind the shoot (locations, style, etc.)
+ Scout the best people to shoot based on Instagram contacts in various cities
+ Discover the best mama run fashion brands for us to collaborate with and feature
