Description

Who we are:
Sympho is an expanded symphonic experience to inspire a 21st century audience through innovative concerts in unique venues.

Our concerts range from commissioned evening-length compositions to thought-provoking, multisensory performances of pre-existing works from the length and breadth of the classical canon. In collaboration with like-minded musicians and artists from other disciplines, we provide our audience an engaging, immersive, multisensory experience.

The Internship:
The Social Media Intern position is a project-based position. This intern will be responsible for cultivating a stronger online presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms. The Social Media Intern will be expected to interpret instruction and ask for direction in order to complete projects, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas that lead to growth of improvement in Sympho community and constituent relationship cultivation. This position reports to the Director of Outreach and Special Programs and will work collaboratively with the Artistic Director to successfully accomplish stated goals and objectives as they relate to each area of focus.

When does our internship begin/end?
Begin: Determined during interview based on our needs and the needs of the student (ongoing/rolling start)
End: Internship positions last 3 months from start date, extendable by mutual agreement

Submission deadline:

Paid/Unpaid?
Monthly honorarium of $250

Responsibilities

• Establishing a consistent presence across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others
• Creating and executing social media campaigns and contests that will increase social engagement and event participation

The position is a supportive role that requires the intern to work efficiently on both team-based and independent projects.

Requirements

Time required:
A 3-month commitment is required. The intern will work remotely with regular oversight.

Schedule flexibility:
Hours per week are flexible depending on our needs and the needs of the student.

Other Requirements:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and set and meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of social media platforms
• Possess attention to detail
