Description

Justice Behind Bars is an organization that provides free personalized lesson plans to the incarcerated to promote justice. The organization is based in Brooklyn, New York and was founded in July 2015 by third-year law student Jeff Strutynski to meet the needs of prisoners who otherwise have to access or support to assert their civil rights from behind bars. Any intern will find themselves on the ground floor of a new and necessary social justice organization.

We are seeking an intern to help us develop and manage our social media presence. We are seeking somebody in New York City with a commitment to social justice, civil rights, prison abolition, and law enforcement reform. This is an unpaid position (unfortunately; it pains me to write that), but we are open to giving the intern significant autonomy and responsibility.

Please send resume and a brief statement detailing why you would like to work with us and how our mission is aligned with you commitment to social justice.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Seth York
Secretary, Member of the Board
