Description

I'm the host of a weekly radio show on WBAI, and have guests like Margaret Cho, Ta-nehisi Coates, Judah Friedlander, Nate Silver. I also have a monthly show in front of an audience that is pre-taped for the radio. I'm looking for someone who is social media savvy and create content from my radio show. You should have a good eye and ear for share-able content and be interested in media and politics. Looking for someone who can take quotes from the show and turn them into images for Instagram and put images or video over the sound clips of the show and make short videos or gifs etc.

Responsibilities

Taking quotes from the show and turning them into images for Instagram; put images or video over the sound clips of the show and make short videos or gifs; updating and maintaining the show's Facebook page with content from the show as well as content from past and future guests; helping create buzz about the radio show and podcast.

Requirements

a good eye for social media, familiarity and good grasp on shareable content for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc,
eye and ear for lively content, interest in radio and podcast production, Sense of humor and passion for progressive politics a plus. Most of the work will be remote but will want someone I can meet with occasionally in person in New York city.
