Description

Rose Phillips Online is a video-based online magazine showcasing small business and non-profits in Chicago. We create engaging and relevant content across a range of media platforms, including digital, broadcast events, and consumer products and services. We are seeking driven candidates who aren’t afraid to meet and talk to new people and consider themselves social media obsessed and have the knowledge to build a following across many social networks.

The candidate should have experience managing/contributing in various social media platforms, writing and editing blog posts, networking and going to social events, and contributing with powerful ideas that generate positive results.

Responsibilities

--Compose, smart, strategic, social media campaigns, tweets, using creative hashtags, for all of our company’s social media platforms.
--Be able to compose FB and Instagram live videos
--Keep up to date on all social media platforms and news about the technology industry.
--Write e-mail marketing campaigns, blog posts, and compose a social media plan and calendar.
--Collaborate with the Marketing Director to generate ideas that could help the marketing efforts of the company.

This internship is unpaid but a valuable opportunity to work your way to a permanent position. The candidate should, ideally, have previous experience or interests about social media. If all tasks are executed properly and deadlines are met at the end of the internship you will receive a financial bonus.

Requirements

Must be a sophomore/junior/senior or recent college graduate
Ability to conduct independent research quickly and efficiently
They should be organized, have strong critical thinking and verbal/written communication skills as well as feel confident in sharing great, new ideas.
Being able to work as a team player
Applicants should have a car or be public transportation savvy
We require interns to own their own laptop and an updated iPhone/Android model
