Chat ‘N’ Chill® (, a world reknown Bahamas beach bar and party place, PLUS its sister company, A Wedding Breeze, a full service destination wedding and marketing company geared toward educating and planning destination weddings for brides are currently seeking virtual interns. We have immediate opportunities for interns this semester at our fast growing company. This position is a part-time 4 (min) - 6 month internship. This is an unpaid position.

This Social Media Internship is a great opportunity for a creative person to gain professional experience and build their portfolio in social media marketing. We are looking to expand our social media footprint and are currently looking for an intern whose focus is in Public Relations and Social Media Marketing. Must be proficient in FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Blogging. We will also be marketing with Pinterest, Delicious, Digg and Stumble Upon. This internship is mostly virtual, working primarily from your home and computer, but also able to meet in person via Skype once per week and optionally for an event, if you should choose, to travel to The Bahamas at the Chat ‘N’ Chill® Weddings & Beach Boutique studio/office (not required). Primarily we use a virtual system to update you on the week's marketing priorities and you will have a systematized approach to the items that will be implemented weekly, and on which days.


The interns will be placed on assignments to manage our online social media channels and marketing initiatives which include*:
Managing the companies’ Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social media outlets
Managing the companies’ newsletter
Market Research and Social media analysis
Participating in our social media communities
Assisting staff in general marketing/PR duties
Manage periodic Facebook contests and interact to attract new followers
Visit other similar Facebook fan pages, comment on behalf of Chat ‘N’ Chill® and A Wedding Breeze and engage other similar companies with positive and professional feedback and comments.
Visit similar blogs and leave positive comments and feedback
Post links to wedding resources on Twitter, LinkedIn pages
Post photos to Pinterest, Flickr and Tumblr; create videos and post to YouTube
Post blog articles to Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg, and other social media sites (except fb and twitter)
Brainstorm and research creative ideas for featured posts and brand integration campaigns
Ability to balance and report progression on multiple projects
Attend weekly conference calls via Skype

*These responsibilities will be divided and assigned to multiple interns.


We are seeking candidates who are looking to gain experience in wedding and event planning and love social media! The ideal candidates are social butterflies who follow popular wedding blogs, fashion blogs and pop culture; and have an eye for chic and contemporary style. Knowledge of the wedding industry is a plus but not required. Since this is an internship, work experience is not as important as personality fit and skill set.

Must be a student in a marketing, public relations, or journalism major, or someone with strong interest in marketing, communications, new media, and social media. No high school students, please.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Hours may range from 5 per week upward (10-15), depending on your skill level in these social media areas and your need for course requirements. School credit is not required but preferred. Internships run at a minimum of four month intervals; this is an unpaid internship.

Candidates must be professional, have superb attention to detail, a creative thinker, and possess exceptional communication and writing skills. Since this is a virtual position, you must be a self-starter with exceptional computer skills. Knowledge of SMO (social media optimization), Photoshop and illustrator is a plus but not required.
