DescriptionBeauty Pilgrim is a start up with a goal of becoming a global directory of Beauty and Hair service providers. We are developing a site and business model that allows users to:
a) Search content rich information about merchants - interact with these merchants and their services
b) Contribute to the conversation by posting reviews and images
c) Share this information with their social networks
d) Access content relevant to the beauty industry (be it articles, reference material and online shopping)
The business is being founded and funded by three individuals with extensive Senior experience in E-Commerce, Online Marketing, technology and global trade. The business is based in Sydney, Australia and is initially focusing on this market place, with plans to be global within 3 months. This is an opportunity to intern with a true start up and be involved in the development of an on line business with a global model.
Our user engagement strategy is evolving and we'd expect that to continue, but 6 current priorities you could expect to work on include:
1 - Build a relevant social media audience
2 - Generate ongoing unique content to engage social media audience
3 - Generate and Encourage reviews of businesses on our site
4. Collect missing information in our database - online and offline sourcing
5. Generate a collection of articles relevant to the category for the site
6. Produce a relevant blog with regular content on the page
We are aggressive and looking to take risks within our strategy, hence you should expect to be involved in producing strategies, then implementing after quick decision making.
ResponsibilitiesThis will be a remote internship - we'd expect the following;
a) Regular communication of project allocations
b) Regular updates on projects being undertaken
c) Communication to take place remotely (email, skype, g-chat etc...)
We're looking for people who can commit at least 5 hours a week for a period of at least 10 weeks.
