Description

The Fitness Business Podcast is the #1 podcast on the planet for fitness business owners, managers and fitness entrepreneurs. In the first year of weekly shows we have seen over 31,000 downloads and over the next 12 months we want to triple the downloads!

This Internship is a unique opportunity - perhaps even the only one of its kind! This is your opportunity to drive a social media campaign that can be truly measured over a 3, 6 or 12 month term. Ideally, you'll join our Team for 6 to 12 months but you will be considered for 3 months if you are REALLY good!

You will be able to say the podcast statistics from the day you started and then what you achieved. You will be responsible for growing:
1. Subscribers to the show notes on the website;
2. Reviews on iTunes;
3. Engagement across social platforms;
4. Followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We imagine your role as the intern will be:
* Develop, launch and run a social media strategy to meet the above goals;
* Design social media memes or find/manage an intern to design the social media memes
* Provide a bi-weekly report on numbers

Additionally, if you can analyse Google analytics that would be great!

This podcast has a very specific niche: gym owners; personal training business owners; managers of chain gyms; managers of franchise gyms; and career minded fitness professionals who just want professional development. Your role as the Intern is to find these people, tell them why they should join our tribe and have them join the tribe.

You will report directly to one of our Team who will guide you throughout the duration of their internship and serve as a support network to aid in any tasks or answer any questions.

We are located in Australia, so you'll have International experience!

Responsibilities

Just reiterating your responsibilities:
1. Subscribers to the show notes on the website;
2. Reviews on iTunes;
3. Engagement across social platforms;
4. Followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

There is an expectation that you will:
* Have a weekly Skype call with our Management Team
* Provide a bi-weekly report

If you can grow advertising on the podcast, then we'll discuss some remuneration for you too.

Requirements

You will need to show us you can complete the Internship description and the responsibilities. This internship is taking your theoretical college coursework and putting them into practice.

An exciting aspect of this internship is that you can work from home! You will need to be
* Disciplined
* Self motivated

Not surprisingly, an essential component of this internship is internet access!

An ideal candidate will be able to DESIGN social media memes using Canva. This is not essential but sure will help and add to your experience. Some design skills would be great but if you don't have these, that's OK - you'll be responsible for finding a design intern to help you. So you'll be able to managing a Team to your resume.

Can you use Hootsuite? This is an essential component for scheduling the posts.

You will need to understand Facebook intricacies: how to read Facebook insights; how to grow engagement; how to design Facebook ads; and use Facebook pixels.

Twitter is a great signpost for us to direct people to the shows and website with weekly Tweetables. You'll need to be able to understand Twitter and how to use it's features to grow our subscribers.

Instagram is a must have component of our marketing arsenal, so you will need to understand tagging, reposting and re-gramming. If you can look at integrating Facebook business and Instagram then where up your knowledge.

Finally, LinkedIn is currently untapped so an understanding of how this platform could help The Fitness Business Podcast achieve its goals.

You will need to dedicate a minimum 8-10 hours a week. You can do more and this will get even better results!
