Physics - Electrical Engineering Typical Graduate Technical Intern scope might include: - Creating/Optimizing applications - User Experience Design - Core system UI - Visualization and parallel computing - Open Source, Firmware, BIOS, Signal Processing - Multimedia and Video - Enabling for Intel Platforms - Open Source and Cloud Computing - Embedded Mobile Systems - Virtualization and Security - Networking - Graphics SW Development - Other platform support - Compilers, performance tools - Manageability - System Integration - Test Automation - Test Case Design - Object Oriented Programming - Sensors Additional Intel-related specializations include: - Dynamic compilation, runtimes, VMM, OS Internals, optimization algorithms, code generation, threads and memory management, web based development including HTML5. - Kernel debugger, driver development, enterprise virtualization and cloud performance. - Linux, Tizen, Android, Windows OS, HTML5 development. - Audio, Media, Camera, Touch, video player and camcorder applications, OpenMAX IL, H.264/MPEG2/MPEG4/VC1, HDMI - Solid grounding in computer architecture, IA knowledge a plus. Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a degree / university program. - BS and MS level students will require the permanent right to work in the US without sponsorship from a company. - Intel will sponsor most candidates at the PhD level. At the MS level, candidates in the following discipline types are considered for sponsorship: EE, CE, CS. - Minimum 3.0 GPA (convert to 4.0 scale equivalent- blank or <3.0 GPA will not pass screening).
