Web Programmer/Designer

Peak Business Development is a consulting company based in here in New York. The company seeks an energetic, creative, flexible individual with an education in web or software development with an understanding of graphic design.

This demanding role, working across two key areas of the business, will see you take ownership of, and deliver on, critical projects within key company deadlines. You must be a motivated, highly energetic individual who is prepared to focus on project delivery as part of a professional team and independently.

You will need to be able to draw on experience in web development to aid the company's communications team in developing the company's online presence.

Candidates must be able to:
- Developing and managing websites for the company as well as its client.
- Developing in HTML and Flash
- Implementing front end website designs
- Conceptualizing and implementing targeted SEO campaigns
- Troubleshooting online projects
- Creating and maintaining company websites including back end sites for client log in pages.

The desired candidate will also have experience in the conceptualization and development of corporate communications collateral through InDesign and/or Photoshop:
- Internal documents and branding
- Company reports and newsletters
- Ad-hoc web design (banners, buttons etc)

This is a part time (3-4 days/week), short term internshipt (6 months) with the possibility of being brought on full time after graduation, being based in the company's New York office.

Preferred education:
- Major in web development, multimedia development or similar
- Have taken at lease one engineering class, (Software, mechanical or chemical is okay)

All candidates must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and have the right to work in the USA. We are recruiting interns and looking for a permanent job after graduation.

This position reports to non-technical managers. We will explain what needs to be done but you will need to code and design everything utilizing your knowledge.

This is an internship with a stipend upon completion.

Responsibilities

Requirements
