We are looking for an emerging website programmer and/or developer to assist us on a number of websites we currently have in development. Ideally this person will have familiarity with the basics of assembling a website and an eye for graphically pleasing site design.
This is an unpaid internship, but we will also work with your school for college credit. We are also actively looking for full-time hires, and the internship is the first step in that search.
Responsibilities***NOTE: You must be local to the Las Vegas area.
Review active websites or websites under construction and/or consideration and offer suggestions as to how to better focus these sites or build them out.
Implement design changes or fixes to existing websites.
Prepare mock-up web designs for submission to clients and/or development.
* If you’re interested in applying, please send a short letter (no more than 250 words) responding as to why you are interested in this position and why you think you’d be good at it.
It is not necessary to send a resume, but if you have samples or work you’ve done (for school or other projects), please send no more than two.
Requirements***NOTE: You must be local to the Las Vegas area.
Familiarity with the basics of website programming is a must, but we’re certainly willing to work with you as you go along. If you think you’ve got great programming chops, this could be the perfect opportunity to show them off!
You must have an ability to follow instructions and be a self-starter. We are an entrepreneurial company with a loose structure. In this position, you will be able to do most of your work from home (or school or wherever you choose) at just about any time you wish. You may be asked to meet briefly once every week or two for updates, but rarely more than that. We realize students have many demands on their time, and we respect that. There will be no looking over your shoulder to “make sure you’re doing something.”
However, if you’re someone who depends on other people to make sure you’ve completed your work, this is not the internship for you.
Basic web-programming skills a MUST!
