Description

My company is a startup in healthcare and data analytics. We build and ship a variety of software -- ranging from mobile apps to big-data analytics solutions -- for high-profile clients.

We have plenty of interesting problems a good developer would be happy to sink his or her teeth into -- ranging from making usability improvements to apps that help cancer patients, to tracking security threats across the world, to working with humongous datasets in the pharmacology space.

We're developer-run and developer-owned. Quality tools, awesome team, great flexibility (work anywhere you want -- or in the coolest co-working space in the heart of Washington DC), zero bullshit.

Responsibilities

Initially, you'll be working on a global computer security project, making a UI that tracks proliferation of threats across networks. I'll give you all the independence you want, and all the rope you need to hang yourself, but hopefully you won't ;-)

Requirements

You need to live and breathe JavaScript.

Angular.js, Backbone, Component.js, D3.js -- if you work in the *.js world you'll be right at home.
Good "developer hygiene" -- using Git, writing readable code, documenting your code, unit-tests, that sort of thing. I really should not even be talking about it -- it's something every toddler should be taught in pre-school ;-).

Knowing how to make usable interfaces is a big plus.

Skills

Required - JavaScript, CSS, HTML + CSS
Preferred - AngularJS, Backbone.js, JUnit, jQuery
