Description

DriftChat is a next-generation social networking ecosystem designed from the ground up to be all about conversations. I (https://www.linkedin.com/in/deepakkghosh) DriftChat at Yale University while pursuing an MBA. DriftChat has gone from concept to validation to execution – all in an academically rigorous environment using empirically proven instruments such as the lean methodology under the supervision of a stellar panel of professors and advisors who are successful entrepreneurs and VCs with several years of experience working with countless technology startups. Our research includes 30 casual user interviews, 2 focus groups (20 users each), online surveys of 210 users, 1 beta app in iTunes app store, feedback from 57 app users, and data from ~75 users interviewed (problem and solution interviews) using Lean Methodology concepts.

DriftChat's core value propositions are unequivocally unique, and we couldn't be more excited about it!

We are a team of 4 – an iOS engineer, a web engineer, a UX designer, and a marketing analyst. Our technology stack consists of a Swift app, a Parse BAAS (in the process of moving to Parse Server on AWS), and Layer+Atlas for messaging. We are ~60% our way to launch, and I'm looking for a motivated, bright, and enthusiastic intern, who can help us get to the finish line. You will not only be guided by an experienced iOS engineer in the team but also have the opportunity to continue being part of the team and become eligible for equity – if there is mutual interest.

The ideal candidate will have at least a year's experience developing for iOS.
