DescriptionReports to: Director of Communications
Position Purpose: The Editorial Intern is responsible for assisting the Director of Communications. He/She will have opportunities to assist with production of multimedia content for AtlantaSilverbacksFC.com - pitch content ideas, conduct interviews with Silverbacks players and coaches, and write features. The Editorial Intern will also help oversee the team’s social media efforts and help manage the Atlanta Silverbacks social media platforms.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Currently enrolled pursuing a degree in journalism/communications or equivalent experience. Must be for college credit.
Must have a working knowledge of soccer.
Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis for match days and breaking team-related news.
Familiarity and experience with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
An understanding of AP Style.
The ability to speak Spanish would be a plus, but is not a requirement.
