California Quake LLC (women's tackle football)
DescriptionCalifornia Quake, LLC (women's tackle football team) was originally founded in 2001 and is a part of the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL). Quake has hosted home games at Downey high school and at Rancho Cienega Sport Complex and their regular season is from January to July. During the off season (August to December) the team still holds public appearance events, fundraisers, clinics, tryouts and recruiting to build our next seasons team. This team is in operation during the entire year and is currently seeking for dedicated internships to assist the organizations growth and prominence in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
ResponsibilitiesExecuting a wide variety of details that involve outbound calls, marketing trade shows and events, public relations, communications with our team geographical target audience, media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing plans
Assisting in writing, tracking and delivery of press releases and articles.
Developing lead generation plans with targets, measures, and objectives.
Develop and execute other grassroots promotional programs to increase team awareness and maximize public exposure
Arrange special team public appearances, interviews and clinic training camps (youth or adult)
Process all sponsorship requests (event, athlete, and other promotional) including organizing, evaluating/ screening in-coming requests and presenting findings
Requirements-professional ability to conduct interpersonal interactions with members of the public, vendors, sales reps, and other company personnel.
-possess strong event and project management skills with ability to work under pressure, meet tight timelines and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
-strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Must possess good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel, internet and social networks
-must have great communication skills, learn quickly, exceed expectations and time management
This internship opportunity requires you to work from home/remotely, should have your own computer, be available for meetings, attending games, special events and on field/practice attendance. Schedule must be flexible to work afternoon, evening and weekend especially during season (Jan to Jul). Opportunities to travel with the team to away games.
