DescriptionIf you are a die-hard football fan and are seeking a sports related career, then I encourage you to try out for a BOWLJET internship.
Our bowl packages feature the best seats in the house, hand-picked hotels, and events including tailgates, cocktail parties, and luncheons. Last season our interns that traveled to Florida dined with the players, sat in the front row at Capital One, feasted on great tailgate Bar-B-Q, and stayed at wonderful hotels. While you will technically be working, you'll enjoy almost every minute.
During the fall, you'll need to help us build excitement at your school with timely blog postings, fan surveys and interviews, on-campus promotions and more. You'll build your resume with tangible work samples, and connect with alumni and employers.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be in charge of promoting our bowl game packages on your campus. With our guidance, you'll develop, execute and evaluate a marketing plan for your campus.
You'll be expected to make blog postings regarding your team, gameday, traditions, or anything you want to share.
You will be asked to develop, create, and measure social media marketing campaigns.
We would like you to be willing to spend bowl week (about December 27-January 3) in Florida, Tennessee or Texas.
You may be asked to survey or interview football fans. If you like meeting people and talking sports, this can be a lot of fun.
Our scheduling is very flexible -- you'll actually be in control of your own schedule. You'll be able to work around another job or internship, and your studies. The time commitment is pretty small -- about 2-4 hours per week. And you can have some great experiences, and get some great experience.
Please don't hesitate to contact me at any time with any questions that you may have.
RequirementsIn the fall, your week should revolve around Saturday. You have to love college football, and the build-up to the game, including tailgating, pep rallies and the singing with the band. You learn whatever you can about the opponent, their fan traditions and more.
You must be dependable, be able to motivate your self, and complete work without direct in-person supervision.
You should have a positive outlook on life, and genuinely want people to have a great time at the game -- even if they are cheering for the other team.
You should be willing to share your thoughts, opinions, ideas and creative solutions.
