Brain Balance Achievement Centers offer a ground-breaking program, based in the latest brain research, which helps kids with ADHD, AUTISM, DYSLEXIA and other neurodevelopmental disorders improve functionally. Our holistic approach combines sensory-motor, cognitive, and nutrition training in order to re-wire kids' brains to improve their functional ability to learn. THE PROGRAM:
* Brain Trainer interns get a lot of hands on experience with kids who have challenging behaviors, trouble focusing, learning disorders and sensory processing issues.
* At least twice per week, you will come in and assist students for 15 minutes before or after their sessions in completing physical exercises.
* You will assist kids in getting ready before and after their sessions.
* Most importantly, you will celebrate with kids and help them chart their success!
* You will assist coaches and other staff in the sensory motor room, cognitive room, and anywhere in between.

THE INTERSHIP PROGRAMS:
Fall Internship: Sep 14, 2015 - Dec 30, 2016
Winter/spring Internship: Jan 2, 2016 - May 15, 2016 (interviews early December)
Summer internship: May 16, 2016 - Sep 5th, 2016 (interviews late April)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
* Guide kids from reception to their session room
* Do physical activities with them before/after their sessions
* Prep them for their sessions
* Report their behaviors, progress etc. to the program director
* Help them with shoes and jackets etc.
* Walk them to the bathroom if needed
* Help them hang up stars and stickers etc. and help them make their charts
* Assist in disinfecting, cleaning up and shutting down the center at the end of day
* Be amazing with the kids
* Be happy and have fun!

Requirements

Requirements
* You must commit to at least 2 days per week and for the entire duration of the internship.
*** M - F approximately 2:30pm - 7:30pm (or 3 - 8)
*** Saturday 9am - 2pm

* Although a background or current enrollment in the following fields is a appreciated, your personality and natural abilities will far outweigh your resume:
** occupational therapy
** physical therapy
** chiropractic
** special education
** exercise physiology
** physical education
** social work
** nutrition
** neuroscience
** child development
