Description

The Central Florida MARVEL are a professional basketball franchise based in Orlando, FL and are seeking an Executive Assistant to the President to begin immediately. This role will primarily execute day-to-day operations of a professional basketball team to include scheduling appointments, accepting phone calls, social media correspondence and updates, sending/receiving/responding to emails, contacting businesses and individuals on behalf of the President and organization, and other duties that are job related that assist the President in day-to-day operations. This position will begin as an unpaid internship for a period of at least 6 months before being evaluated for a full-time salary.

Responsibilities

The daily tasks and responsibilities of the intern will include daily email and phone correspondence, social media management for the President, time sensitive projects, scheduling, and additional tasks that may arise and assigned by the President. This position is designed to provide assistance to the President while simultaneously providing on the job training to the intern in preparation for a career in sports or business management.

Requirements

Minimum of 30 hours of college coursework in sports/business management related field
Must have access to a computer with internet and webmail client
Must be proficient in MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word
Prefer experience with Adobe Photoshop
Prefer someone studying in business/sports management field
Must have smartphone with social media apps installed
