DescriptionAssistant Scouts are invaluable members of our team at TFAL Pro Football Recruiting and are responsible for identifying potential Pro prospects for our team of Scouts and ultimately, for pro coaches. They are the first touch point for pro prospects who have reached out to TFAL wanting to learn more about how we can assist them through the recruiting process and connect them with pro teams across the country.
Assistant Scouts are responsible for calling a potential prospect’s During this 5-15 minute phone call, their goals are to: educate them on TFAL and finally, 2nd) start the evaluation process, verifying the prospect is both film and athletically qualified to compete at any pro level.
Successful Assistant Scouts have a passion for and a background in sports, are sales-minded, results-driven, competitive, and have high energy with the ability to focus in a fast-paced and exciting environment!
Manage a “recruiting list” of potential pro prospects to identify those who might have the ability to compete professionally.
Conduct personalized phone assessments with parents of student-athletes
Ask parents questions to uncover the family’s recruiting needs; educate them on the recruiting process and the importance of being evaluated by a third party like TFAL
Guide players to the next step in TFAL recruiting process
Work hand in hand with a team of Scouts/Head Scouts to either:
Transfer as many qualified families to a Scout for recruiting assessment and to close the call
Or, act as a Scout (if one is unavailable) and schedule qualified families with a full evaluation interview by an TFAL Head Scout
Document outcomes of each conversation
Meet and exceed goals
Exceed 3 hours of talk time with players and/or 30-50 outbound dials per day
Use analytical and critical thinking skills
Create a memorable experience for every family who engages with TFAL
Adhere to the TFAL Core Values at ALL times
Either: Recent college graduates OR current college upperclassmen looking to begin a career in sports and sales
A desire to follow the TFAL Scouting Force career path and eventually become a FT Scout
Exceptional phone communication skills
Good listening skills
Outgoing personality with great energy and phone presence

Ability to multi-task with outstanding time management skills
