Description

2L Race Services, LLC provides event management and race timing services to various events in the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions. The company is based out of West Chester, PA. In addition to owning and operating 3 road races (a marathon, half marathon, and 5K), we offer event management as well as chip timing to over 60 events per year in our region. We time road races, triathlons, mud runs, stair climbs, cycling events, cross country meets, track & field meets, and more.

We are looking for individuals interested in working as assistant timers (helping a team leader) as well as people interested in taking the reins and leading a team of two themselves. 2L Race Services provides all equipment needed for timing. If the candidate is able to provide a vehicle to transport equipment, additional compensation is available. If they do not have an appropriate vehicle (minivan, truck, or larger) 2L Race Services will provide payment for a rental vehicle to be used.

Responsibilities

Timer teams of two travel to race sites. After setting up timing equipment, they record times for participants and capture photos that are posted online in real time. Upon completion of the event, the timing crew packs up and heads home.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a background in sports and/or technology. A comfort with computers is a must. Some equipment is heavy so the physical set up does require lifting.

Skills

Required - MS Office Suite
Preferred - Database Management, Event Management, Event Planning, Event Photography, Event Coordination
