The Austin Sports & Social Club is the largest co-ed adult sports league in Austin. Join us and see how to manage over 25,000 players and take a leadership role in our special events.
The Austin SSC internship is designed to give the student every aspect of running a sports business - marketing, prospecting, setting up tournaments, coordinating social events, PR for new sports & races, officiating sports games, supervising field duties, updating game stats, & website enhancements.
No business can give you more real world hands on experience. Over 50% of the time is spent in the field and not in an office.
ResponsibilitiesThe day-to-day office tasks include, but are not limited to, downloading team and player data and sorting into actual leagues, player uniform orders and the difference colors make on the field, team communications and player services, league logistics; building league schedules and playoffs, equipment/inventory management, working with the sales team to generate leads and how to generate new business, staff and field management, and social media and digital marketing.
The on-field tasks include, but are not limited to, setting up fields for play, officiating sports, supervising sports, coordinating tournaments and special events with the supervision of the operations team, and more!

RequirementsMust have reliable transportation, access to a laptop computer, and knowledge of most mainstream sports.
Must be available Sun-Th evenings, and daytime Saturdays. The rest of the work is done during the day when time permits around one’s school schedule.
