DescriptionThis internship is perfect for the well rounded sports journalist. Chicago Scene Magazine is a print, digital and experiential company that is offering internships for sports journalists that are interested in writing and/or on air broadcasting and are trying to break into this extremely competitive business. This is an unpaid internship, but there is a plan of how each intern can make money while also gaining crucial experience.
The ideal candidates will have to ability to write entertaining and informative articles with deadlines and be able to push their content on social media to as broad a base as possible.
ResponsibilitiesEach intern will be responsible for an assigned article every week that can vary from professional sports to a local dart tournament. The intern will then have to push their content to gain as large a reach as possible. The intern will also be responsible for promoting events and getting as many people there as possible. This is the chance for the intern to make money while gaining experience.
RequirementsCandidates must be able to write at least one assigned article a week on a deadline within the parameters set for the content.
Candidates must be avid social media users with the ability to reach as large a segment of people as possible and to continually keep gaining followers.
