Netball America is the premier national Netball body in the USA. The primary focus of this internship is to support and assist with the 2016 U.S. Open Netball Championships in Los Angeles, California.

a. Social Media: Responsible for aspects of social media in compliance with Netball America brand regulations. This includes Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and snapchat. Responsible for communication with the VP of Media Relations to create global media campaigns. Must be fluent in English, know how to successfully use hashtags. Knowledge of Adobe creative cloud is a plus for one of the positions, as is HTML5. Those with social media experience will be utilized to help build the social media statistics. On game day will keep scores updated via social media, as well as photos and stories posting to social media.
b. Broadcast: Working alongside the VP of Media Relations, the broadcast team will be the liaison between the broadcast department and VP of Media Relations. Need to have a basic understanding of broadcasting. Will also help organize content and run sheets for the broadcast.
c. Press: The Press liaison is responsible for keeping track of press credentials and media invites. Must be highly organized. Will be responsible for assisting in creation of press releases and issue them to media outlets internationally, nationally and locally.
d. Photo/video: These members of the team will be responsible for videotaping and recording packages and parts of packages for the broadcast and social media departments. They will need to know how to properly capture moving objects/athletes. Also specific knowledge of a Canon DSLR would be valuable. Sports photographers are welcome. These positions will be paid a stipend.
e. Public Address Announcer & Interviewers: Must have good voice and demo. During event, however will need to provide you with pre-event information for you to learn about netball.
f. Game Day Promotions Crew: Will be responsible for keeping the crowd energized, must have a sunny disposition and enthusiastic. Will also be in charge of entertainment throughout the event and carrying out the runsheet.
g. Game Day Netball Operations Crew: Positions include statisticians, runners, camera department PAs, audio technicians, digital image transfer technician/editor, President PA.
