DescriptionChampion's QUEST is home to more than 400 youth athletes throughout the year in Los Alamitos, CA (near Long Beach.) Champion's QUEST has produced over 120 college athletes over the past 10 years with over 10 million dollars in college scholarships. Our internship includes training the athletes (age 8-18 and some college) in strength and conditioning and sport specific skills (soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, football, track & field, rowing.)
ResponsibilitiesWork alongside Performance Coaches with training the youth athletes in speed, strength, Olympic lifting, and sport specific skills. Assist Performance Coaches with projects on sports psychology, nutrition, and college recruiting. This is a hands-on internship and requires an outgoing personality to learn and coach the youth athletes.
Interns are respected and treated like coaches and will have to be a mentor for the youth athletes and be willing to speak with parents, if needed.
RequirementsHave completed or obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Athletic Training, or comparable degree.
Have or looking to obtain CSCS, USA-W, or CES
MUST BE A CURRENT/PAST COLLEGIATE ATHLETE
