MassTech Internship Partnership: Matching grants to support internships in the MA tech sectorBookmark This
2 Center Plaza
DescriptionThe MassTech Internship Partnership facilities and encourages company-student matches for college-level internships across Massachusetts’ digital technology sector. The Intern Partnership works with college and universities to maintain an online database of current students and recent graduates interested in tech sector internships. The program accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
The state’s digital technology sector includes, but is not limited to: software and hardware, robotics, big data, digital interactive games, digital marketing and e-commerce, mobile communications, education and health IT, and interactive media.
The program is designed to create hundreds of internship opportunities each year by enabling small companies to hire paid interns. MassTech Collaborative reimburses eligible companies for intern stipends.
Interns and companies each apply separately to the Program, and MassTech verifies their eligibility. Participating companies can access the online intern database and search the resumes and cover letters submitted by prospective interns. MassTech can reimburse companies for intern stipends at up to 50% of payroll costs, with a maximum reimbursement of $10/hour for a total of $4,800 per year per intern.
