Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionGreenwich.HR is using big data and machine learning capabilities to bring transparency to our labor markets. Sound obscure? Consider that in the US alone salaries and wages top $14 trillion annually. Job markets are not just an important component of our economy, but they are an essential aspect of the fabric of our society. Everyone cares about jobs. But, information about jobs is awful. Late, inaccurate, inaccessible, impractical. This creates a lot of uncertainty and waste. We're on a mission to change that. And by doing so, unlock billions in inefficiencies and lost opportunities, and open the door to amazing innovations.
ResponsibilitiesWe'll start by laying out work priorities and jointly agree on deadlines for specific projects. The work will be dynamic - as we build more, your responsibilities will change. Your work will be challenging and rewarding, but we are very sensitive to making sure they're manageable within your school responsibilities.
RequirementsThis isn't like other internship positions. You job title won't be 'intern', it will be 'Data Scientist'. You'll be a critical member of our team, responsible for deliverables that are critical to the success of our product road map. You'll need to learn fast and work fast, and we'll give you an environment to take on more responsibilities as you grow.
We're looking for an energetic, intelligent, and highly curious person to help design the sampling protocols and data architectures that are the basis for our services. You do need a strong foundation in statistics, modeling, and data design working in an SQL environment, so we're looking for people pursuing their masters or doctoral studies. We're located in the Twin Cities, MN, and you'll need to be able to sit with our team at least twice a week for 2-3 hours; the rest of the time you can work wherever and whenever is convenient to you.
If you're interested in this position, you're a data geek, and we have lots of data and powerful tools for you to work with. We're a startup that's just released our first offering, so we don't pay much. But you'll get to work on some amazing things and jump-start your own experience.
SkillsRequired - Statistical Analysis, Experimental Design, SQL
Preferred - R, Java, Python, Data Visualization
