DescriptionHave you ever wanted to work at a tech startup and contribute to its development from the beginning? We are looking for Software Developer Interns who want to make a substantial difference to a mission and company as it takes off.
This is an exciting opportunity to spend your summer in Washington, D.C. working closely with cofounders and contributing to a team launching an exciting company. We have a variety of opportunities and are accepting graduate and undergraduate applicants. We may offer interns extensions into the fall and/or full-time positions upon graduation.
Software Developer Intern (alternative title to be selected upon hire)
Interns receive a $125 weekly stipend to cover transportation and lunch. Interns receive free snacks and beer (if legal) all summer. Interns will also receive mentorship on next steps, introductions to other mentors, and letters of recommendation. We do not pay for housing or relocation to Washington.

All of our summer interns will report to our office in Washington, D.C. and work full-time, approximately 40 hours a week. Interns can occasionally work remotely. Interns may also need to attend events and meetings in Washington. The internship will last three to four months. We can work with the intern to ensure she/he receives academic credit if that is an option at the intern’s institution. The intern is responsible for ensuring all of the requirements are met for school credit. We may offer internship extensions or fulltime job offers to outstanding interns.

Dūcō’s co-founders are seeking an ambitious, innovative, and self-motivated intern to join our team and contribute to the company’s first few months in operation as a software developer. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to learn how to start a company and is interested in applying developer skills to a real company. The intern will provide support on launching the company, from updating the website, to thinking strategically about the next version of our application, to fixing bugs in our platform.
This intern will work closely with the co-founders and receive guidance from senior developers, but will have a lot of responsibility and we encourage innovation and new ideas.
Projects may entail:
• Crisis management to identify and/or fix any small kinks in our current platform.
• Implementing sections of our next version platform.
• Suggestions on strategy and how we can improve our current product.
• Drafting scopes of work for next version items.
It will be fun. It will be hard.
