Description

Software Quality Assurance Specialist
Under general supervision, in an 8am to 5pm a talented Software Tester, you will be a part of a QA team responsible for testing current windows-based software, web applications, and services. You are part of an equally talented team of testers and developers who take pride in the work you do and the quality code you produce. As a test professional, you relish the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the application and creating automated test cases. Because you always have an eye on quality code, you take pride in managing the system regression and integration testing phases at the end of every release cycle. With an eye on detail, you verify and recreate defects submitted by clients, other testers, and the development team, view error logs and troubleshoot to isolate system issues and develop tools and scripts to automate performance and load testing. You thoroughly enjoy trying to reveal the defects and fix them at their root cause!

Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:
• Executes and tracks testing on assigned AIC proprietary products, including new products and modifications to existing systems
• Develops and verifies testing documentation, including test plans, estimates scope and work effort, procedures, test scripts, test results and hardware/software installation, and set-up instructions
• Performs evaluations and audits of software documentation and software processes associated with products under test
• Establishes and maintains structured testing methodology and environments
• Responds to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
• Identifies process improvements, error trends and/or the root causes. Makes recommendations for remedies to colleagues and management
• Presents data to and works with non-technical AIC cross-functional team members
• Works on projects as assigned based on business needs
Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
• Proper phone etiquette;
• Basic Knowledge and understanding of SQL
• Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately;
• Demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar;
• Knowledge of relevant software computer applications and equipment;
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices;
• Effective listening skills;
• Willingness to co-operate with others and work to the greater good;
• Multi-tasking capabilities;
