Description

Theatre Reviews Limited, currently the highest-trafficked online theatre review website, seeks two motivated interns to help expand the site and ensure our content continues to reach an expansive audience. Interns will work closely with intern coordinator Sander Gusinow to ensure our continued success.

About Us:
Theatre Reviews Limited was originally launched in 1997 as one of the first online websites dedicated to reviewing Broadway, Off and Off-Off Broadway, Cabaret, and Theatre Festivals in New York City. It is now the most highly trafficked theatre website currently online. Our goal is to provide constructive criticism to support, not hinder the efforts of artists and new work. We believe that it is important to create an open dialogue between all artists and form collaboration in order to develop and maintain continued health in the theatre. The Editorial Intern may work remotely. A full description of the position follows.

Responsibilities

The editorial intern will be responsible for editing reviews, submitting written materials to the Web Development intern, researching upcoming shows, and writing and responding to letters of inquiry from theatre organizations around the city. The editorial intern will have the opportunity to review shows themselves if desired. In your cover letter, please include a brief writing sample. Requirements

Ideal candidate will possess:
-Strong written communication skills
-Interest in theatre reviewing
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Strong attention to detail.
-Self-motivated
-Well organized
-Ability to commit at least 15 hours a week
