DescriptionFor Heaven's Sake Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation is a non-profit (501c3), all volunteer organization located just south of Olympia, WA (capitol of Washington State). We rescue and rehabilitate all species of animals specializing in deer, elk, and small animals such as squirrel, opossum, rabbits, etc. We also rescue and rehabilitate birds of many species. An internship at FHSARR will offer experience in caring for wildlife including handling, medicating, maintaining enclosures, release, and transporting animals. Learn to feed baby birds, squirrels, opossum, and bunnies. In 2013, we helped over 900 animals most of which came to us in Spring and Summer as infants. We are on 8 acres of property in a rural area. We are looking for a minimum of two interns each working a 30 hour week. We have no housing to provide for interns at this time. We are a 15 minute drive from Tumwater and Olympia, WA.
