Description

Nkonzo Bush Academy is a private conservation initiative located in Mossel Bay, South Africa that specializes in ethical wildlife conservation, management and research. The Conservation Internship Program is available to those over 18 who have a passion for wildlife and want to make an active difference in the future of African megafauna. Interns work with wild animals and assist in various conservation initiatives such has monitoring pregnant white rhinos, establishing elephant carrying capacity, and alien plant removal.

Responsibilities

Interns will take part in various activities, such as: monitoring of various species within the only free roaming big five reserve in the fynbos biome, assist in animal releases and darts when necessary, reserve maintenance (alien plant removal, road maintenance, etc.)

Requirements

Interns must be 18 years or older, of reasonably good health, able to communicate in verbal and written English, and have a passion for wildlife and the environment.
