The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center (WAH) is seeking Arts Writer interns for their WAH Center Blog. Arts Writer interns will provide written article coverage on the WAH Center's many exhibitions, performances and other events.

The WAH Center is a Brooklyn-based non-profit organization founded in 1996 by artist and philanthropist Yuko Nii. It is a multifaceted, multicultural art center whose mission is to coalesce the diverse artistic community, and to create a bridge between local, national, and international artists, as well as emerging established artists of all disciplines.

This internship starts immediately. Although it is unpaid, an academic credit can be arranged. This internship offers flexible hours but the candidate must be available on some evenings for opening receptions, performances, and/or other events (usually on weekends). It is also required that interns meet at the center once a week to discuss assignments and article progress.

Interns' article assignments may include coverage of the WAH Center's gallery openings, exhibition and performance reviews, and written interviews and profiles on artists and curators. Arts Writer Interns will be given the interesting opportunity to have direct contacts with curators, artists, performers and many more.

To apply, please specify the position and attach your resume, cover letter and two writing samples with the subject line, "Arts Writer Internship" to No phone calls please.
