Seasonal Intern (3-month assignment)
ResponsibilitiesPosition Description ~ Content Development Intern
As a Content Developer for the Jamaican Heritage Society, you will assist our PR Director in maintaining a strong social media presence and develop original content for our online community.
Your primary responsibilities:
Assist in promoting the organization’s initiatives
Assist in the creation, aggregation and distribution of information designed to educate, inspire and entertain our target audience
Monitor and contribute to the organization's social media platforms
Leverage the analytics data to develop improvements in existing web content
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Proficient in use of social media marketing and platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Linked In)
Familiar with market research and analytics
This position requires working a minimum of 3 days per week for a period of 6 months or longer.
This is an unpaid internship.
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively
Excellent writing and internet research skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Hangout)
Mac & PC proficiency
High School Diploma Required
BA/BS from an accredited institution
Note: Undergraduate or Graduate students preferred, but high-achieving high school students are encouraged to apply.
