Description

The Women's Solo Project, Inc. (TWSPI) is a non-profit resource center. Our focus is primarily addressing physical, financial, and emotional needs of individuals who are in abusive relationships by providing resources and training that may be required. We service and educate victims of domestic violence and all others along with their children.

Responsibilities

• Researching grant opportunities for our organization
• Writing proposals to foundations or applications to government agencies
• Reviewing a proposal or application that you have already written
• Developing a business plan for our organization
• Writing an annual budget or program budget for the organization
• Training the staff and board to research grant opportunities and write proposals
• Supply progress reports when required by a grant-making organization that has funded a project or program
• Identify and select appropriate potential
• Must be able to keep track grant application deadlines and follow-up on submitted applications
• Keep track of trends in the field and be aware of changes in the priorities of funding institutions, and new funding sources

Requirements

Business, Finance, Non-Profit coursework or degree these fields, 2-5 years experience in grant writing, fundraising, grant research, and budgeting. Familar with funding cycles.
