DescriptiongenerationBOSS is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing the youth with better role models by providing social recognition for the many accomplishments of young adults who represent the belief that a successful prosperous lifestyle can be attained through the pursuit of higher education. generationBOSS designs and presents a variety of events intended to:
1. Increase student participation by improving the way the youth view and experience education
2. Encourage the youth and young adults to consider careers outside of the entertainment industry
3. Establish a platform where young adults can showcase their success through education, network and garner community support

We believe that individuals who have gained success through education should share the same celebrity as individuals who have gained success through entertainment, so we strive to bring the spotlight to those experiences and lifestyles in an effort to increase the number of high school students who choose to pursue some form of higher education or entrepreneurship.

Number of positions available: 1
Candidate can work primarily from home but must have reliable transportation to attend monthly or weekly meetings at the corporate office. Must have own computer and home Internet access. This is a part time position 20 hours minimum not including benefits. This is also an unpaid position with a possible $500 monthly or bi-monthly stipend depending on experience and results.

Responsibilities•Identify, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities in the area of Education, Community Development, etc;
•Creates, maintains and implements funding calendar activities
•Coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals and applications to third-party entities;
•Generates revenues for genBOSS programs and events through timely submission of well-researched, well written and well-documented grant/fund-raising proposals
•Collect, analyze and report data on the performance of program activities that are funded by third- party public and private sources
•Identifies funding opportunities (foundation and/or government) and new program areas to match genBOSS priorities using research tools
•Serve as a liaison to all funding agencies or organizations
•Special projects as needed
RequirementsCandidate will be expected to work well independently and be a self-starter, but will report to the Executive Director. All candidates should meet the following requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, students in related fields are encouraged to apply. Must have worked in related discipline with a minimum of six months to a year of related experience;
•Possess strong communication, writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel);
•Proficient in researching, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data and posses the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals;
•Demonstrate time management, organizational skills, leadership, and sophisticated interpersonal skills with management, other employees and interns.
