We are looking for individuals to work with I Love Soca Elite Promotions in the New York City area. You must be responsible, dedicated, hard working, resourceful and communicative.
I Love Soca Elite is a New York based boutique- style agency providing tailored solutions for Fashion, Music, Entertainment, Luxury Travel, Tourism and Social Lifestyle Industries. We bring a fresh and unique approach to executing Promotional Events and Public Relations campaigns, specialist on Caribbean- American Cultural.
With our focus being the Caribbean population in the U.S. Diaspora.

Your job would be to write columns, editorial, commentaries, or reviews that interpret special events/ Caribbean travel destinations.
Plan, coordinate and host Caribbean theme events in the city and oversee other Marketing and Promotional campaigns.
Growing The Soca Elite brand through social media networks and recruiting to our member list in the city.

This could entail any or all of the following:
-Gather information about relevant events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, sports, artistic, musical, social and other functions.
-Research and report on specialized interest such as natural ingredient healing and beauty treatments, Caribbean food and drink, interesting travel destinations.
-Research and analyze background information related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.
-Check reference material, such as books, news files,public records to obtain relevant facts.
-Review copy and correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation.
-Photograph or videotape special events or request that a photographer be assigned to provide such coverage.
-Conduct taped or filmed interviews or narratives.
-Edit or assist in editing videos, Vidblogs for broadcast.
-Transmit stories or reporting information from international locations( where applicable), using equipment such as satellite phones, telephones, fax machines, e-mail or modems.


-Researching Social Media content, blog copy
-Researching event ideas
-Communicating frequently with our Editor/ Content Manager.
-Meeting twice monthly to offer ideas for events, venues, and membership growth.
- Exposure to Caribbean culture highly desirable


-To participate in internship opportunities, students must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program and undergraduate students must be enrolled in college or university.
- Provide link to 1 social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge.
-Provide link to 1-3 of your written work, preferably Fashion, Music, Travel, Lifestyle pieces.
- Possess skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management.
