DescriptionAre you a whizz at writing interesting and engaging content?
An enthusiastic content writer is required for a start-up digital media blog targeted to moms. We are looking for several enthusiastic interns to help us build out content for our site. You will be involved in researching content on parenting, family focused, and kid related topics for our website and social media accounts. Your job will be to continually find, group, sort, organize, and share the best and most relevant content across the internet for inclusion on our site. You will also be responsible to create original content (i.e. commentary, opinions, headlines) to supplement curated material.
We will teach you basic web editing skills so you can publish content to the net, and you’ll learn some of the basics of online marketing.
This is a great opportunity for college students or recent graduates to gain some experience necessary for future employment. This position is virtual, so you will be able to work from home. The position is unpaid. This is an ongoing position.

* Background in journalism or communication
* Experience or interest in researching and writing compelling family-friendly or kid related stories that would appeal to moms
* Strong online search and research skills
* Ability to find new sources of content across blogs, websites, and other curation sites
* Must be a good writer – able to summarize and synthesize research findings
* Active on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, YouTube, etc) is a plus
Requirements• University student or recent graduate with degree in english, journalism, or communications • Superior research and creative writing skills (writing sample will be required) • Excellent communication and organization skills • Ability to work independently, from home and to be resourceful • An interest and understanding in blogging and social media websites like Facebook and Twitter is a plus
Hours are flexible, but a minimum of 15-20 per week is required. In your cover letter, please your days/hours of availability.
You should have access to a personal computer, internet, and phone.
