DescriptionWHAT: Journalism Internship for a soon-to-launched online music magazine, My Music Launch, poised to be the #1 resource for the professional career development of emerging music artists
WHERE: Based in Los Angeles;
WHEN: Start June 1, 2015 - six months to begin
WHY: Ground floor opportunity with a first-of-its-kind online magazine which is part of a bigger music platform founded by a team of musicians and music industry mentors. You will have the opportunity to report on cutting edge trends within the music industry and our top reporters will have the opportunity to attend industry events, meet very cool and prominent people within the music business and may qualify for a full-time position with MML.
WHO WE ARE: We are a music and technology-based startup founded by a team of musicians and music industry mentors. Our platform bolsters professional connections and creates opportunity for collaboration, mentorship, performance and education among top emerging talent from leading music programs around the world. MML Magazine is the first component to that platform.
OUR CONTENT: This goes beyond "who's who" and entertainment/music gossip. Actually, we want nothing to do with any of that. We care and share information about the business of music i.e. composers behind Oscar-winning movies, Will.I.Am's philanthropic side, the education sector and music curriculums in schools, the pros and cons about big record labels, how pro sports and music have come together, music technology trends, how Country and Hip-hop are fusing, legal "stuff" and copyright issues, Robin Thicke/Marvin Gaye ordeal, etc.
