DescriptionAre you considering a career in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle writing? Looking for ways to gain more exposure and build your portfolio? Have you been looking for a way to break into the field of writing? Do you absolutely love to talk with your intellectual peers? If so, then Sidelines is designed for you! Engaging with intelligent colleagues will help you improve your writing, analysis, and social media skills and help you build your writing portfolio.
This is the perfect opportunity for students looking to build their writing portfolio or anyone just looking to hang out and talk about your pastimes and passions! Internships (credit or non-credit) available.
We've built a troll-free community of intelligent, fun, and engaging contributors who love to write and talk about everything from the evolution and increasing popularity of women’s sports to backpacking across the US National Park system to the use of practical special effects in Mad Max: Fury Road.
What that means is that there are no trolls hiding behind different throwaways, waiting to make your life miserable. No idiotic arguments between commenters screaming at each other in all caps. No one gets downvoted into oblivion for having an unpopular opinion
We are searching for passionate, intelligent people to join community as new contributors. These are initially unpaid positions that offer the opportunity to develop into per-post compensated MVP and Campaign writing positions as well as part-time Senior Writer and Editorial positions.
Sidelines is a platform for contributors to create, find, and participate in high-quality conversations about Entertainment & Pop Culture (http://www.sidelinesapp.com/community/entertainment), Gaming (http://www.sidelinesapp.com/community/gaming),
Lifestyle (travel, food, fashion, politics, and design) (http://www.sidelinesapp.com/community/lifestyle), Parenting (http://www.sidelinesapp.com/community/parenting), and Sports (http://www.sidelinesapp.com/community/sports).
The posts created on Sidelines are distributed to our partner sites, acting as short form, collaborative, stand-alone, or supplementary content that people actually find entertaining and educational. You can read a Sidelines conversation on your phone while waiting for the bus and learn something.
