DescriptionThe Bazaar (www.bazaaa.com), is the sister ecommerce organization associated with The Asian Entrepreneur, a digital magazine. Our goal it to provide global exposure to entrepreneurs located in Asia. As such, the magazine interviews and publishes the journeys, successes, and even failures of interested entrepreneurs and the associated bazaar sells their products. However, we are not the typical ecommerce website. We DO NOT function as a one-stop shop. Our unique selling proposition leverages the stories of the entrepreneurs to sell the product. We are currently in an expansion phase and looking to partner with interns to create a win-win situation and take the bazaar to the next level of success.
Reporting to the Co-Founder and Operations Head, the Business Writer/Journalist is responsible drafting client stories that will be used to sell their products on the new ecommerce website. This position requires interacting with clients to understand the inspiration behind developing their product(s) and conveying it in a narrative.
• Interact with clients to learn about their journey
• Draft the story behind the product and developer
• Work professionally with marketing and business researchers
• Other business writing tasks as assigned
An in progress or completed undergraduate degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Must possess a strong interest for a career in business management. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
Special Position Requirements
Must have access to a computer, Internet, and telephone. Must be able to commit 10-15 hours every week.
