In addition to receiving high-level skills and experience that will forward your career goals and immediately increase your prospects for higher-paying, more rewarding jobs, you will also receive mentoring on your résumé and professional goals. You will work directly with the team supervisor. You will also have frequent input and communications with the Founder of Klick and get the inside, behind-the-scenes view of a virtual company. Successful interns will receive a top-notch letter of recommendation and referrals to important business and employment contacts. In addition, we will gladly help you arrange for academic credit.
This internship is virtual. You will work from home (or school, or Starbucks, or the library…or wherever). You can work anywhere as long as you have reliable Internet connection and a quiet area for Skype meetings.
This is an unpaid internship, but the experience is priceless!
Responsibilities• Develop original content
• Use the written word to express story lines and ideas.
• Write content for magazines, trade journals, newsletters, and blogs.
• Develop scripted material for the Web and other communication devices.
• Conduct extensive research on various topics.
Creative writing interns are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the website's vibe, then submitting clean, completed copy on or before the agreed upon deadline
This is a learning environment; we don't expect you to know everything! The Creative writing team is a collaborative one where you will have the chance to learn, teach, and discover the best practices together. The core purpose of a creative writer is to develop original content based on stories provided by the journalist and various other resources. A Creative Writer job description calls for hard work, ethics, quality writing, and, at its heart, the desire to entertain the reader with truthful, heartfelt and innovative stories. Applicants with prior educational and/or work experience in writing are preferred, but WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON who is enthusiastic, dedicated, and willing to learn. If you want to be a professional writer someday, this internship will give you that experience!
