DescriptionLimitless North is a small publishing company looking to creatively explore a variety of subjects and topics.
We are currently seeking interns who wish to expand their creative writing and research skills through composing a variety of brief, concise, and inspirational non-fiction ebooks/lifestyle guides.
The intern will research a few given topics and write a series of short ebooks over the course of the summer, working to perfect their "writing voice" and draw inspiration and an encompassing, knowledgeable perspective from a variety of sources, combining them into one, well researched, well-written piece.
ResponsibilitiesOVERVIEW: Writing needs to be 100% original, and must feel creative and inspired.
TOPICS: The topics will vary greatly and will require research into the given subject.
RESEARCH: All research can be done online via sifting through various sources and combining the best points and perspectives. Most of the books will also draw from the interns own common sense and personal experience. We are looking for a strong creative voice for this internship.
LENGTH: The books will be short ebooks, about 6 chapters and approximately 4500 words minimum. Some subjects will require more length, and others still will need to be broken into a series of books to allow for specification.
PROCESS: Intern will be given, or may be asked to select, a specific topic. Each topic will be studied, researched, and delved into by the intern, pulling from a variety of sources and gaining a broad overview and perspective on the material. Intern will develop an overview for the ebook, given the general topic and direction of the subject, and will then complete a rough draft at which point further direction may be given.
The final stage will be completing a polished piece on the subject and writing a distinct and captivating book description.
RequirementsIntern should be proficient in the English language, with strong grammar skills.
Must have creative writing skills, be diligent, motivated, and self-driven.
Intern must be reliable and hard working, with a strong writing voice, and must be focused and able to translate well researched content into an inspired personal form of writing.
Must be able to stick to a schedule and deliver work on time and consistently.
