DescriptionBrown Girl Bloggers, an online community for minority women who blog, is looking for awesome interns to write about all things relevant to minority women. Topics covered on the blog range from the subject of blogging to anything a young that might be on a young brown girl's mind.
We’re looking for motivated, creative, positive women who want to build their resumes and work with a fast-growing startup! We’re especially looking for women who can write thoughtful pieces on lifestyle questions we can see and women who can research topics related to blogging and write amazing posts full of information.
This internship is remote and unpaid. Candidates should be available a minimum of 10 hours/week and a 3 month commitment is preferred.
What You Will Do:
Write posts about various topics, typically 400-700 words
Brainstorm trending topics to cover on the website
Devise and organize a 3-month editorial plan
What You Will Learn
How to create an editorial plan for a site this size
How to create and sustain a successful blog in this over saturated market
How to write clearly and concisely (your work will be edited)
How to work with a team
How to start a business (or side hustle) and make money
Along with learning how to create editorial content for a blog of this size you’ll also get tips on being an entrepreneur and building a brand from our Founder who is a millennial entrepreneur.
RequirementsKnowledge of WordPress and basic HTML preferred, but not required.

Must have excellent written communication skills and a passion for helping other women. Previous blogging experience is a plus, however it is not required.
