DescriptionDragonFruit is the only dating app for geeks by geeks. We are located in NYC, but are looking for interns around the country.
ResponsibilitiesDraft copy for, but not limited to, our webpage, e-mails, social media presence, and blog.
Collaborate with our marketing and content team on assigned projects. Interns are highly encouraged to pitch their own ideas as well.
Perform copyediting, proofreading, and research.
Communicate and work hands-on with contributors during the editorial process.
RequirementsExercise strong skills in editing and proofreading. If you have prior experience with editorial work (internships, work for your college paper, freelance writing, etc.), we highly value that experience. Editorial interns must be willing to defend or explain their decisions.
Able to juggle multiple projects and tasks under pressure. As a startup still establishing our brand, our creative direction and marketing strategy pivots frequently in response to web and social media analytics.
A passion for geek culture (science fiction, anime, video games, etc). If you’re the type who rattles off geek pop culture references in your everyday speech, you’ve come to the right place.
A sense of humor. We expect our content to entertain and make our readers laugh. We’re a witty, funny bunch and hope our interns are the same.
