DescriptionThe Lunch Table – founded by Nico “Blitz” Triunfante and Ricky Rodas – originated as a Hip-Hop radio music/talk show on Golden Eagle Radio, a radio station based in California State University, Los Angeles.
Exactly as lunch table talks you would have in high school, The Lunch Table Talks (thelunchtabletalks.com) is a platform for open discussions meant to stimulate agreements, arguments, and overall entice passionate conversations while primarily focusing on contemporary Hip-Hop culture.
We are currently looking for creative writers who enjoy not only listening to Hip-Hop, but criticizing songs, albums, and are up to date with Hip-Hop news and trends. However, our primary goal is to promote underground artists. A lot of time will be put into finding, listening, and writing about up-and-coming Hip-Hop artists.
Responsibilities- Proofreading both hard and electronic files, basic copyediting, and writing of proposals and reports;
- Work on special projects, as needed
Requirements- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.
- Must be able to actively search, listen, and write about underground Hip-Hop artists, as well as mainstream Hip-Hop singles, albums, and topics.
