DescriptionDQNA is on the lookout for a killer content writer intern to join our team for the current semester through the summer of 2016. This is a part-time internship position, open to current college students who are looking to supplement their education with a dynamic, real-world experience in a rapidly growing Silicon Beach marketing agency.
DQNA’s Content Writing Internship Program provides a hands-on learning experience in a fast-paced digital agency environment. Our program gives students a chance to develop content for one of our owned fashion related blogs.
At DQNA, we won’t be assigning you “busy work” - making us copies or getting coffee for us won’t teach you anything. Instead, you'll be put to work right alongside our seasoned team of digital strategists, creating content for one of our fashion blogs.

ResponsibilitiesAt the core of the Content Writing Internship Program, you will be tasked with writing unique pieces of content as determined by our media strategiests. You will be writing stories that introduce our audience to a variety of topics in the fashion/fitness/health verticals. Topics will be well researched, written in a unique and interesting voice by a candidate that is passionate towards the fashion industry.
We are looking for a candidate who’s a great writer that can adapt to different styles and tones. The candidate would need to have very solid grammar skills and need to know the difference between passive and active voice. Applicants know how to tell an amazing story and know how to distill the latest concepts and techniques, inside and outside of the fashion industry, to the target audience.
In this position, you’ll work directly with our marketing team and have a lot of freedom and flexibility in generating content. Your job is to create well written articles around fashion, beauty, fitness and other female focused topics.
The candidate will be expected to pace around creating 2 pieces of content per work day.
Interns will receive college credit and a strong industry reference! You’ll also get invaluable experience working alongside some of the brightest and most innovative people in the digital space, access to our exclusive networking events, and a totally cool laid-back office environment.
There will be occasional opportunities for the candidate to do work on other properties and verticals, work on social media outreach, and conceptualize creative concepts.
RequirementsWe’re looking for the ambitious, forward-thinker in the room who can brainstorm and implement a variety of innovative brand marketing solutions.
For consideration, applicants must:
Be enrolled in a current 2-year or 4-year institution
Be passionate about fashion and content creation
Speak and write English fluently
Be personally and/or professionally active on major social media platforms and posses a basic understand of how fashion brands engage online
Have exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Be a quick learner and easily adaptable
Please include examples of any past work as well as any relevant social media profiles that demonstrate your passion for fashion.
