DescriptionThe WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center) is seeking a grant writing intern to assist the president with an application to a handful of high profile foundations. This internship starts immediately. Although this internship is unpaid, an academic credit can be arranged. This position also has a potential for growth. The hours are flexible; the intern can work at home and report to the Center from time to time. ResponsibilitiesResearch the format required by the foundations. Call the foundations to talk to their staff about whether they would be willing to entertain a grant proposal.
Draft proposals for the projects.
Other tasks as required to come to the desired outcome.
The grants are for renovation of a landmark building and programs in art and humanities.
RequirementsBA/BFA minimum, MA/MFA preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written skills, as well as good interpersonal skills.
Experience in graphic design is a plus.
SkillsRequired - Good communication skills, Basic Computer Skills
Preferred - Grant Applications
