DescriptionActive Plus is an nonprofit organization founded by two former collegiate athletes that aims to inspire, motivate, and educate people of all ages. Our mission is to promote healthy lifestyle choices through increased physical activity, sports recreation, health education and preventive measures to better health.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources
Maintain current records in database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.
Secure funding to conduct research and evaluation.
Coordinate the organization’s grants initiatives,including pursuit of grant funding and oversight of funded projects.
Primary responsibilities include preparation of proposals and grant applications, and performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of Food, Youth and Children, Community Development, Healthcare Services, Mental Health, Recreation/Sports, Nutrition
Must have an interest in prospect research and writing grants
Must be able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to connect with others and develop relationships
Committed to the mission of serving youth in underrepresented communities
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain detailed records and confidential information
Generates proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations.
