Show Notes Made Easy
Posted: March 23 2015
Company Location: San Diego, CA
Application Deadline: Available Year-round
Position: 2 Part-time, Paid
Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionThis position can be done from anywhere so long as you have an internet connection and a laptop! Show Notes Made Easy is a small business looking for a talented, coachable, responsible writer (preferably with a background in marketing, journalism or PR or all 3!).
You will be learning how to write show notes for podcasts (they're like extended blog summaries of the episodes). I will teach you exactly how to do this.
Podcasting is a burgeoning marketplace and this is a skill you can apply to run your own business or eventually become a partner in mine with me. I'm looking for a talented writer who learns fast, takes feedback and applies it and is responsible in communication and in action.
ResponsibilitiesWeekly you will work on just one or two episodes to start (probably no more than 4 hours of your time). All I ask is that you respond to my emails when I send them (again no more than 2 or 3 a week) and let me know you can meet the deadlines I give you.
Typically you will have 48 hours (or more) to complete a set of show notes and each set should take you around 1.5 hours (2 maximum).
This will be a paid position AFTER an initial six-week trial; you will be competing against other interns during those 6 weeks. The winner will be awarded a paid position so bring IT! Let's have some fun together and help you gain new skills in the process.
Best of luck!
RequirementsAs mentioned earlier a writer with a background in journalism, marketing or PR. Please have samples you can send me (links are fine).
When you apply you must mention the 6 week competition or you won't be considered; read all the responsibilities below and make sure you are willing to do them all, including the 6 weeks, before contacting me. This piece is critical and you must mention it in your message to me. Thank you!

Preferred - B2C marketing
