Description

Watch Journal magazine, a leading luxury timepiece and lifestyle magazine is looking for a staff content editorial intern for its web site and print edition. We are seeking an energetic writer/editor with strong web skills to add to our growing team. Watch Journal is published by Surface Media, which also publishes Surface magazine, and operates in the same office. Our team is creative and dynamic, with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

DIGITAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and create daily content for Watch Journal 's website
Write posts about watch industry news, new watches, events, and more
Gather images and background material relevant to potential stories
Photo editing and content upload to site
Manage and produce content for Watch Journal social media accounts: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
Strategize social media with Editor in Chief and International Editor

EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITES

Assist Editor in Chief in all aspects of producing magazine
Copy editing and fact checking, writing front of book stories
Research projects and stories
Gather images and background material relevant to potential stories
Help manage the selection of articles and projects to cover in the magazine
Manage magazine production flow through MagHub
Attend industry events on behalf of Watch Journal
Manage freelancer invoices and contracts
Recruit and manage editorial intern program
Any other tasks assigned to you by Editor in Chief

Requirements

Must be eligible to receive school credit for completion of internship program.
